Hi Everyone, a HUGE thank you for submitting your images to our Flower Photography Competition
Wow! We’ve received 104 entries!!!
It was really hard to choose a winner – especially from so many fantastic pictures and beautiful flowers.
After all the debating the winning shot was awarded to Phil Smith for Pasque Flower. Congratulations!
But we appreciate all the effort and would like to reward 9 other participants, and they all will receive £25 gift vouchers.
Our next theme (July 2020) is Fruits, Veggies and Food Photography. I had high hopes but so far we are not doing that well – only 6 entries… Another two weeks ahead and I hope some of you will participate 🙂 you have time until 31st July.

Phil Smith – Pasque Flower.
The photo “Spiders From Mars” was shot in my greenhouse as the light was very good and there was no wind. I used a piece of black velvet as a background and a Nikon macro lens on my Nikon D750 mounted on a tripod to get the photo. I have a website called ‘Through A Lens Clearly’ (www.throughalensclearly.com) where people can see more of my photos.
For anyone interested in macro and close-up photography, flowers and plants, I would highly recommend these fantastic books. Please click the image below or just scroll all the way down.

Congratulations to all who submitted their entries!
It is really important to practice. Our photography courses can give you all the technical knowledge but by far the best way to improve – is to practice!
