I registered for the course, what now?
Once you have registered on a course you have five working days to pay, as failure to do so will result in your registration and place being cancelled. When we receive your payment we will email you a confirmation of your place on the course being secured.
If you register much in advance, don’t worry if you don’t hear from us for a while after the confirmation email. One week before the course start we will email you again with some additional information like: course outline, map and directions to Wimbledon Art Studios.
How can I pay for the course?
Paying for the course is straightforward, secure and only takes a second. After completing the registration process you will be taken to Order Summary page where you can choose to pay with PayPal using any credit or debit card.
You can also pay by bank money transfer or a cheque – please email us for details: email@example.com.
If you have a gift voucher and would like to use it as part or full payment for the course please register for course as normal and email us your voucher number.
What equipment do I need to bring?
Generally if you are coming to our photography course you should bring your digital SLR camera with batteries fully charged, memory cards and at least one lens. Having said that you are welcome to bring as much equipment as you like.
If you booked a Photoshop or Lightroom course you will need to bring your laptop with adequate software installed, unless you made prior arrangement to use one of our computers.
One week before the course start we will email you all necessary information like: course outline, map and directions to the studios.
Are there breaks and refreshments?
During half day courses we break for about 30 minutes for lunch, and for 45 minutes during full day courses. Respectively there will be one and two short breaks for tea and coffee along the way to let you rest and digest all that you have learnt.
Please note that we don’t provide food for lunch, however there will be plenty of tea, coffee, bottled mineral water, biscuits, fruits and so forth available free of charge.
What happens if I’m late or miss a course?
We start classes promptly and keep to stated hours, please try to arrive 10 minutes earlier to prepare your camera and all the gear that you have.
If you are running late or can not find us please let us know and call our studio 020 8947 8118.
If you find out that you can not make it on the day we would appreciate if you notified us as soon as possible. If you wish we can try to make some alternative arrangements for you.

Courses and Workshops
Photography, perhaps more than any other medium, requires hands-on practice. There are many things which need explaining of course, but without putting these things into practice none of it means a great deal. You will therefore have plenty of opportunity for monitored hands-on practice.
The ideal type of camera to bring to our courses is a DSLR with an optical viewfinder and interchangeable lenses. The generation, brand, or sophistication of the camera is irrelevant but it can not be a compact camera.
Feel free to email us your camera make and model – firstname.lastname@example.org. We will check its specification online and let you know if your camera is suitable for that particular course.
We now do free camera hire – so if you haven’t got a camera just let us know and we will reserve a Nikon or Canon dslr camera for you.
Since everyone has different dietary preferences and requirements, we find that it is easier if people simply make their own arrangements. However, there will be plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits, fruits and so forth available free of charge.
Usually we go to a small local Italian Pasticceria for lunch – but there are also few other places around serving sandwiches etc..
You are also welcome to bring your own lunch. There is a large kitchen / common room in the Studios with fitted microwaves so that you can warm up your food.

We are also happy to do group/corporate training days or half days for general or specific concerns such as how to take great interior and exterior shots of properties and architecture.
Gift Vouchers and One to One tuition
It is very important that you provide us with a full name of the gift voucher recipient. If you haven’t done so during the checkout process please email us now as without that information we can not print and send the voucher.
For orders received before 4pm we aim to print and post gift vouchers same day using Royal Mail first class. Orders received after 4pm are processed the next morning.
Along with the voucher you will receive beautiful hand made card and a copy of terms and conditions describing how to use the voucher.
If you need the voucher urgently we can email you its electronic copy, or for additional £6.50 we can post it Royal Mail next day special delivery.
To redeem your gift voucher, all you have to do is visit our website www.dslrphotographycourses.com, choose a suitable course, date and register.
On the course registration page please fill in your details and click ‘Sign up’ button. After you have completed all steps of the registration process please finalise your booking in ‘Other ways to pay’ section, selecting ‘pay with gift voucher’ and then email us your name and gift voucher number to: firstname.lastname@example.org – to let us know that you will be using a gift voucher as a full or part form of the payment.
We will then update your booking status on our system and send you a confirmation email.
All our gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving the holder plenty of time to redeem.
Please note that our gift vouchers are sold per course. Therefore in the event of price change (from sale to regular) we we will not ask the attendee to cover the difference. We will accept the voucher as full payment for the course.
A One to One photography tuition with an experienced professional photographer offers the best possible way to master your camera and to learn how to take better pictures.

The cost of One to One tuition starts from £69 per hour, with minimum 3 hours per session. Please call or email us for quotation.
Registration and Payments
If anyone cancels then that vacancy will be immediately advertised on Dates and Prices page. If you are interested in a particular date and the course is fully booked, feel free to email us: firstname.lastname@example.org and we will immediately inform you if a place becomes available.
Yes we don’t have a problem with that. We don’t want to make your life even more difficult by not allowing that or not issuing a refund. So as long as your friend has some interest in photography and will show up on the day with a camera ready to learn, we are happy to transfer the booking.
If you find that you can’t make it on the day of the course but you give us at least 14 days notice, you will be given the choice of a full refund or a credit for another course.
If you can’t make it on the day but you give us at least 7 days notice, you will be given the choice of a full refund only if we manage to fill the place from the standby list, otherwise we will refund 50% of the total paid for the course.
If you notify us less then 7 days in advance and we can fill the place from the standby list you will receive a full refund or a course credit. Otherwise unfortunately we will not provide a refund.
If we are only notified on the day itself, or if you fail to present yourself at the course then we regret that there will be no refund.

We run photography courses at our studio at Wimbledon Art Studios – Studio 131, and these are situated at 10 Riverside Yard, Riverside Road, London SW17 0BB.
Wimbledon Art Studios can be easily reached by bus, train, tube and car. We are approximately 10 minutes walk from Earlsfield overground station or 15 minutes walk from Tooting Broadway underground station via Garratt Lane.

Yes, there is free parking but you will need a visitors permit for parking at Wimbledon Art Studios.
Parking is fairly abundant on Saturday and Sunday and we usually don’t need permits. Although it is worth checking at reception. Wimbledon Art Studios is in a very vibrant working area and is itself, an equally busy, functioning building.

Wimbledon Art Studios is a very active system of over 150 studios of all shapes and sizes, occupied by artists, sculptors, restorers, photographers to name but a few. The atmosphere is of a fully operational system of busy workshops as distinct from slick and corporate.
