I have to say the course was great, I would definitely recommend it, I was on the Travel Photography course, and our instructor was Roland, a great guy attentive and a great teacher!
I am not a total newbie when it comes to photography but I still got a lot out of the course, even when Roland was showing us the basics I learned some new stuff I didn’t know, I guess some things you just have to be taught in person, Roland was great any questions you had he was happy to answer and show, if you had any technique questions he would go through it with you.
I really enjoyed going round some of Londons landmarks and taking pictures with Roland guiding us and showing us how he would take the pictures.
Composition was one of the things I was struggling with a little and seeing Roland taking pictures of the same things as I did and then comparing was really helpful.

My fiancee and I booked the travel photography class with Roland for March this year, and unfortunately, we had to reschedule due to COVID. Firstly, Roland was really accommodating in rearranging the date, and he ended up meeting us on a new weekend in October where we were the only two people booked on.
The day itself was fantastic. We were both newbies with our DSLRs and were very much stuck on ‘auto’ setting mode. The class was so informative and we both felt that we learnt a huge amount and it’s really made us excited to get out and start using our cameras more now that we’re confident on being able to use fully manual settings.
Roland was such a friendly chap and tailored the course to talk about how to take photos on some of the trips we told him that we had planned. This made the session felt really personal and the day flew by. It was a great mix of learning theory and then applying it in practice. Getting to visit a few locations in London to try out different techniques was also fantastic.
I’d highly recommend booking one of these courses for anyone interested in learning how to use their cameras properly. It was clear how passionate Roland was and he sent us over a really useful PDF for us to use after the session containing all of the info he had taught on the day.
5 stars, an absolutely cracking day!

I had an incredible experience on the Travel Photography course.
The course was insightful and the small group size ensured personalised attention.
The tasks were engaging and I gained a wealth of knowledge about photography and my camera.
I was fortunate to attend this course just before my holiday, which allowed me to apply my newfound skills at various nature reserves and scenic spots.
My focus was on capturing wildlife, particularly birds, and I’m confident that the course significantly improved my results.
Roland, our course leader, was exceptional. His expertise and fun approach made the session both educational and enjoyable.
I’m looking forward to attending another course soon. Thank you!

I went on the travel photo course in March as I was going to Tunisia afterward and wanted to be able to take a decent photo. Roland taught us about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and light such that I was able to create photos that had a resemblance to my memory of the place I was photographing. Usually, they seem to look like a wet weekend in Doncaster, no matter where I am!
He was able to help all students with their camera settings no matter what the make or type. I was impressed by how he was able to communicate, what I had regarded as the mystery of photo taking, into simple and digestible chunks.
Very much hoping to do another course.

The travel photography course with Roland was excellent would definitely recommend it.
It definitely gave me the confidence to go from fully automatic to fully manual.
Looking forward to using what I learned in the course for my Vietnam/Cambodia trip.
Glad I booked this trip, and having someone be able to give you tips and advise you on how you can improve your photos was really helpful and appreciated.
Would recommend this course to anyone thinking of doing it.

I’ve had my camera for a few years, and I’m beginning a long trip very soon, so I came on a course to learn how to use my camera during my travels.
All the activities were really beneficial. I learnt how to take photos on a manual setting and developed a much better understanding of my camera.
Expectations fully met. Would highly recommend!

After having owned my Nikon D3200 for a year, I felt it was time to really learn about what the camera could do. I had a great day practising. Our tutor was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. I’m now genuinely looking forward to my next trip away – I’ll be able to take some proper photos and finally use the manual setting on my camera!

Great travel photography course. Learnt so much more about my digital camera, and discovered things about it and taking pictures had no idea existed! A good balance of practical exercises, and clear visual aids and verbal explanations. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommend! I am waiting now for my next trip!
